Bakery materials buyer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and ensuring an uninterrupted supply of raw ingredients. This role manages all inbound overseas containers, supervises market fluctuations, tracks purchase activities, and secures the best prices on contracts domestically and internationally, contributing to overall profitability. Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities Effective verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on consensus building. Strong familiarity with 85C products, operational needs, functions, and objectives. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally. Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment. Basic understanding of the food supply chain process. Knowledge of bakery/food industry purchasing. High ethical standards and professionalism. Job Duties

Manage order fulfillment, coordinate with vendors and internal departments, and ensure timely delivery to keep production on schedule. Source substitute items when out of stock, conduct inquiries, and analyze costs for research and development approval. Communicate with vendors regarding quality issues, facilitate returns, and seek credits or replacements. Process new material requests, conduct market sourcing, bidding, and cost analysis, and record samples and test results. Create new material entries in SAP, gather specifications, and collaborate with relevant departments for approval. Monitor price fluctuations and analyze their impact. Ensure competitive pricing and meet inventory requirements for quality, service, and lead time. Manage inbound overseas containers, including PO setup, invoice processing, and coordination. Serve as the primary contact for Taiwan inbound matters. Maintain SAP inventory database, including product specs, shelf life, photos, and dimensions. Generate and analyze annual purchase reports by vendor and item. This role involves general office work with light physical activity, primarily indoors. The employee may sit for extended periods, perform repetitive hand motions, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
