POSITION SUMMARY
The Principal Data Analyst is responsible for focusing on high-level executive reporting and strategic analysis. The Principal Data Analyst will be responsible for creating, managing, and delivering complex reports directly to executive & senior management to aid in strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of analytical expertise and the ability to translate data into actionable insights at the executive level.
DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain advanced reporting systems that deliver key business insights to executive management for strategic decision-making. Analyze large datasets to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and provide recommendations on business strategy and operations. Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on the company's performance across various metrics. Collaborate with senior leadership to refine reporting processes and enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of executive communications. Lead cross-functional projects that require synthesizing data from various sources and presenting complex information in an understandable format. Serve as a liaison between the data analytics team and senior executives, ensuring data accuracy and relevancy in reports. Implement and oversee quality control measures to maintain the integrity of all executive-level reporting. Train and mentor junior and senior analysts in reporting techniques, data analysis, and insights generation. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data analytics and reporting tools to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of reports. Adhere to stringent reporting deadlines with potential fiduciary implications. Efficiently produce ad-hoc reports with prompt turnaround times. Seamlessly assume additional analyst responsibilities as needed, often on short notice. Performs related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Proven experience in addition to what is outlined below may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. 7+ years' experience in data analysis or a related field, with a proven track record in managing complex reporting tasks and delivering to senior stakeholders. 5+ years' experience in the mortgage servicing or servicing adjacent field. Strong expertise in data analytics tools and software, including SQL, Excel, Tableau, and other business intelligence platforms. Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and persuasive manner to executive audiences. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on results and meeting timeline requirements.
