Position Summary This full-time Application Engineer role focuses on delivering technical support and expertise to customers across multiple industries, with proven experience supporting polymer materials, compounding, and injection molding processes. Acting as a bridge between technical and commercial teams, this position ensures tailored solutions, high customer satisfaction, and support for business growth. The role reports directly to the CEO.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Address customer inquiries on material options, processing methods, tooling, and application needs Provide hands-on assistance to resolve processing or quality challenges Offer technical expertise during the resolution of customer complaints Project & Application Development

Partner with Account Managers to provide technical input for customer projects Participate in customer trials and sampling activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up Collaborate with internal R&D and production teams to support new product or application initiatives Training & Documentation

Deliver technical training sessions for customers, internal staff and global partners Develop and update technical documentation, guidelines and application resources Market & Customer Support

Monitor and share insights on technical trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity Support CRM initiatives by logging activities and identifying opportunities Build and maintain strong relationships by providing reliable, solutions-oriented technical support Contribute to the acquisition of new customers through technical expertise in projects or specialized applications Key Skills

Strong knowledge of polymer materials, compounding, and injection molding processes. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams to deliver results. Education & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or related technical field (preferred). 3 - 5 years of experience in application engineering, plastics processing, or technical customer support with polymer materials, compounding, and injection molding processes Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools. Willingness to travel for customer visits, training, and project support. Bilingual skills in English and German or Spanish are a plus. Location

This role is based in the Houston Area (The Woodlands) with regional travel required to support customers, trials, and training activities.
