Shift: 12-hr Nights, 7p–7a
Schedule: 36 hrs/wk, every other weekend + holiday rotation
Guaranteed Hours: 36/wk
Requirements
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Phlebotomy a plus)
- Licensure: Active IL RN license required at submission
- Experience:
- 2+ years recent Telemetry/Stepdown
- Stroke care + post-cath recovery (radial/femoral) highly preferred
- Drip experience required (set: Cardizem, Amio, Dopamine; titrate: Heparin)
- Meditech experience a plus
Unit / Department Details
- Ratios: 1:4–5 days; 1:5–6 nights (acuity dependent)
- Charge RN: Has a patient assignment; house supervisor (NSO) does not
- CNAs: 2 per shift, acuity-based
- Monitoring: Central telemetry monitored by tech; RNs sign off on strips
- Typical Patients: Stroke, CHF, ACS, CAD, post-cath, arrhythmias
- Equipment: BiPAP, high-flow O₂
- Charting: Meditech
- Scrubs: Any color
- Orientation: 2 x 12-hour shifts
Additional Info
- Floating: ICU, MedSurg, ER (within scope; ER boarders possible)
- Call: None for agency staff
- Holiday: Part of rotation
