nJob Summary:
nWe're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to lead yield improvement and root cause analysis. As the Manufacturing Engineer for a Line Replaceable unit at Project Kuiper, you will be directly responsible for failure root cause and analysis, production process development and improvement of a key module on our next generation spacecraft. You"ll be the leading technical voice for a team of manufacturing engineers working on the product, solving challenging technical problems associated with delivering an ultra-high-performing optical, electrical, and mechatronic module to space.
nKey responsibilities:
nServe as a technical lead on failure analysis and non-conformance management.
nDrive yield improvement through process change.
nSupport operations team directly by being a high solving power engineer, capable of bringing multiple diverging technical perspectives together in high pressure escalation moments such as quality containments.
nEducation:
nBS/MS of: Optical Engineering, Physics, Applied Optics/Optical Sciences
nRequired Skills:

Familiarity with Low Rate Manufacturing Environments & New Product Introduction

Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices & principles

Experience with Root Cause Analysis Techniques such as Fishbone, Fault Tree, DMAIC, etc.

75% of time will be spent on-the production floor working with technician teams to solve all types of technical blockers, from test report reviews, defect material triage, ERP blockers, etc.
