Job Overview: A leading law firm is seeking a Government Contracts Associate to join its nationally recognized practice in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate should have experience handling a broad range of government contract matters, including litigation, corporate transactions, suspension and debarment issues, and False Claims Act/internal investigations. This position offers an opportunity to work on high-profile cases in a dynamic legal environment. Location: Washington, D.C. Duties: Provide legal counsel on government contracts, including regulatory compliance and transactional matters. Represent clients in litigation related to government contract disputes. Assist with internal investigations and False Claims Act matters. Advise clients on suspension and debarment issues. Support corporate transactions involving government contractors. Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and motions. Requirements: Law school class years 2018 through 2020. Experience in government contracts law. Prior experience in bid protests is not required but is beneficial. Strong analytical, research, and writing skills. Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Active bar membership in good standing (preferably in Washington, D.C., or eligibility to waive in). Skills: Knowledge of government contract regulations and compliance. Experience with litigation, investigations, and regulatory matters. Strong communication and client management skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
