We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Technologist with specialized expertise in flow cytometry to support the development and launch of a new pediatric flow cytometry laboratory within a health system in Delaware. This role is pivotal in shaping the lab's foundational processes and will involve close remote collaboration with the lab manager to establish and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), training protocols, and quality assurance practices.Key Responsibilities:Lab Development & SOP CreationCollaborate with the manager to design and document SOPs for:Marker selection and panel designStaining protocols and workflowsVerification reagents and controlsTitration procedures and optimizationInstrument calibration and maintenanceTraining & EducationAssist in guiding lab staff on best practices for:Flow cytometry theory and applicationsReagent titration and validationData analysis and interpretationTroubleshooting and quality controlQuality & ComplianceEnsure all procedures meet regulatory standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP)Participate in internal audits and process reviewsSupport documentation for validation and verification studiesTechnical ExpertiseProvide guidance on instrument selection and setupRecommend best practices for pediatric sample handling and processingStay current with emerging technologies and methodologies in flow cytometryWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Required Skills & ExperienceQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or related field (Master's preferred)ASCP certification or equivalent strongly preferredMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a Clinical Flow Cytometry labProven ability to communicate day-to-day processes surrounding SOPs and training programsExcellent communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
