Roles and Responsibilities The job duties and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist with all work related to
HVAC/Mechanical/Industrial
projects Measure and cut pipe according to requirements Soldering, brazing, threading pipe, grooving pipe, installing hangers as well as carbon steel pipe (up to 24”) Repairing malfunctions, breakages or leaks Testing pipe systems to ensure safety and functionality Communicate professionally with management, superintendent and customers Follows all safety policies and procedures. Observe, report and correct unsafe work environments Collaborate with other workers to complete project Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.
Qualifications and Requirements • 2-3 Years of experience fitting pipe • Must have personal hand tools required for the position • Present yourself in a professional manner • Ability to communicate clearly with Foreman and follow direction • Ability to show up on time, ready to work and in uniform • Must successfully pass a background check • Must successfully pass a drug test • Ability to identify, install and repair mechanical pipe systems • Ability to read blueprints • Ability to recognize, set up and operate hand and power tools common to the trade as needed • Knowledge of cutting and welding methods • Ability to abide by basic safe work practices
