SimVentions is actively seeking a talented and experienced cybersecurity professional to enhance our cybersecurity operations! As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be instrumental in system hardening, vulnerability assessment, and security compliance activities aligned with DoD requirements. Ideal candidates will possess a robust foundation in cybersecurity practices and have demonstrated experience in both Linux and Windows environments within DoD networks. You'll collaborate with Blue Team, Red Team, and other Cybersecurity experts to bolster cyber readiness and system accreditation. * Please note that this position is contingent upon the award of a contract, expected in December of 2025. Clearance:

An active Secret clearance (IT Level II Tier 5/Special-Sensitive Position) is mandatory. Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for classified information access. US Citizenship is essential to obtain a clearance. Requirements: Deep knowledge of computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for clear method presentation. Must hold one of the following DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III baseline certifications: CASP+ CE CCNP Security CISA CISSP (Associate) CISSP GCED GCIH CCSP Key Responsibilities: Create Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages for various systems. Develop and maintain essential security documentation, including: Authorization Boundary Diagram System Hardware/Software/Information Flow System Security Plan Privacy Impact Assessment e-Authentication Implementation Plan System Level Continuous Monitoring Plan Ports, Protocols, and Services Registration Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) Conduct annual FISMA assessments. Perform Continuous Monitoring of Authorized Systems. Generate and update test plans; test system components using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tool, implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), and carry out Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) reviews. Conduct automated ACAS scanning and STIG, SCAP checks (Evaluate STIG, Tenable Nessus, etc.) on various standalone and networked systems. Analyze cybersecurity test scan results and assist in documenting open findings in the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M). Review DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide test results and aid in documenting open findings in the Plan of Action and Milestones. Preferred Skills and Experience: A combined total of ten (10) years of professional experience in the following areas: Computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies. National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) Program requirements, ship install requirements, and protocols (preferred). Risk Management Framework (RMF) and implementation of Cybersecurity and IA boundary defense techniques along with various IA-enabled appliances, including Firewalls, IDS, IPS, Switch/Routers, Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), EMASS, and Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS). Execution of STIG implementation. Conducting vulnerability assessments with the ACAS tool. Remediating vulnerability findings, including vendor patch implementation on both Linux and Windows Operating systems. Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. Compensation:

SimVentions offers a competitive salary determined by various factors including experience, education, training, security clearance, and skills.
