Chief Operating Officer (COO) Logistics We are seeking a dynamic COO to join the executive leadership team and play a key role in driving operational excellence, scalability, and sustainable growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will be responsible for the following core duties and responsibilities : Oversee day-to-day global operations, covering freight forwarding (air, sea, and land), customs clearance, warehousing, and supply chain management. Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and profitability. Lead digital transformation initiatives including automation, process optimization, and technology adoption. Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, trade laws, and industry standards. Manage full P&L responsibility for operations, focusing on cost efficiency and long-term revenue growth. Build and foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centric service delivery. Partner with the CEO and executive team to define long-term business strategies and global expansion goals. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, carriers, and regulatory bodies. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global operations team. Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to ensure service excellence and delivery performance. Please note that travel is required for this role : 1 week / month. In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will possess the following : Bachelor's degree, Master's degree (preferred), 10+ years of senior operational leadership experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management, strong knowledge of international freight forwarding processes, customs compliance, and global trade regulations, demonstrated success managing large-scale, multi-region operations, proven P&L management experience with a strong financial and commercial acumen, exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and drive operational compliance, strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to execution, familiarity with logistics technology platforms, ability to travel approx 1 week / month. 175,000 to $ 225,000 base salary, performance related annual bonus scheme, equity, 401K plan and company contributions, health insurance, competitive PTO, opportunity to have real strategic and leadership exposure.
