MARRS Services, Inc. Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features. Perform drainage design for compliance with the City, Caltrans, and/or local agencies Codes and Standards, and requirements for the various design storm frequencies.
Perform hydrology/hydraulics (HH) calculations involving peak flow discharges for various design storm frequencies for pre-improvement and post-improvement conditions, storm drain inlet sizing, storm drain pipe capacity verification, pipe flows, hydraulic grade line (HGL) elevations, ponding depth calculations, and others.
Perform required HH calculations to design storm water quality BMPs for Green Streets to comply with City and/or local agency requirements for treatment of stormwater discharge.
Prepare/revise/update technical reports, such as, HH report, Soil Water Quality Management Plan (SWQMP), and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), and prepare the specifications for the storm drain system section in the Special Provisions as needed.
Review and perform QA/QC on Drainage and Water Quality Design Plans, Utility Maps, etc.
Review utility plans and identify existing utility conflicts; prepare Utility Conflict Matrix; identify and notify existing utility owners to get their approval before construction.
Prepare various Forms and Utility Certification Documents in accordance with the Caltrans Local Assistance procedures Manual (LAPM) for utilities and right-of-way (ROW) certification.
Review demolition, and construction plans to provide Quantity Takeoffs for the Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) Estimates; identify vendors to request price quotes for equipment and coordinate with them to receive the unit prices of the quantities in ROM estimates; perform comparative cost analysis.
Assist the Principal/Project Manager in preparing the PSandE packages for various stages of design submittals
