The Unit Chef supports the Unit Manager in managing culinary operations, staff, menus, and budgets, ensuring high standards of food quality and guest service. Salary and Schedule
Salary: $85,550/year. Full-time, 40 hours/week, schedule to be discussed. Location: UC Santa Cruz Main Campus. Key Responsibilities
Manage food production, staff, and budgets Ensure food safety and sanitation Train and supervise staff Assist in menu development Support departmental goals and team collaboration Qualifications
Management experience in food services Leadership and personnel management skills Strong culinary and customer service skills Effective communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and creatively Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field Bilingual in Spanish/English Conditions of Employment
Background check and DMV record check ServSafe certification within 90 days Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs Variable schedule including evenings and weekends Additional Information
