$108,412.75/yr - $120,458.00/yr Job Summary:

This position reports to the Machine Engineering Department and is responsible for researching, designing, building, and testing thermal cooling solutions for mechanical devices including tools, system controls, and machines. Key Responsibilities

Lead design efforts of custom cooling solutions for customers’ high-power electronics Lead initial and ongoing design reviews to drive innovation in thermal design of burn-in systems Provide technical support and guidance for thermal design and application to customers, internal design teams, junior team members, and project managers Direct thermal design and modeling of electronic systems using CFD tools Expand and maintain technical knowledge related to the design and controls of burn-in chambers Refrigeration system, heat exchanger, thermal management design expert for all burn-in and test platforms Prototyping and test fixture development for new thermal design applications Ensure designs meet and exceed product specifications, regulatory requirements, and international standards Identify process deficiencies and develop solutions to improve them Project future needs and complete full lifecycle product development tasks Partner with Sales and Customer Service to support customer issues, translate feedback into engineering requirements, and process changes Perform all other related duties as requested or assigned Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field 4+ years of mechanical design experience Experience in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and cooling systems at system and component level Excellent prioritization and project management skills Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Effective problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications

Refrigeration system and water chiller design experience Experience with CFD tools and thermal modeling Strong knowledge of ERP and manufacturing systems Experience designing and developing electromechanical assemblies Proficiency in SolidWorks Physical Demands

Must be able to perform sedentary work, including sitting for extended periods. Ability to periodically stand, walk, crouch, stoop, bend, and reach. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. Vision abilities required include close and distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. May be required to lift/move objects up to 40 pounds (10% of the time). Additional Details
