Provide expertise and insight to senior leadership on employee benefit programs. Administer and coordinate daily operations of employee benefit programs, vendor relationships, employee benefits orientation, HRIS entry, and maintenance. Make recommendations for enhancements or changes to the employee benefit package based on cost, employee preferences, system capabilities, and strategic direction. Manage operational responsibilities to provide customer service to employees and ensure benefits are administered cost-effectively. The Benefits Manager will work collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, demonstrating precision and expertise to maximize efficiency and productivity. WHAT YOU WILL DO
Advise and provide excellent customer service to employees on benefit-related issues, questions, and concerns. Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS system to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. Distribute all benefits enrollment materials and determine eligibility. Administer all employee benefit programs, including enrollments and terminations. Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes. Oversee the maintenance of employee benefits records. Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability, and FMLA. Track 401(k) changes by employees; facilitate 401(k) audits. Develop, recommend, and implement changes in the administration of employee benefits and strategy planning for benefit plans. Manage the open enrollment process by creating and implementing a project plan and open enrollment documentation and communication materials. Conduct benefit information meetings with benefit brokers. Address benefit inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolutions. Maintain contact with employees and beneficiaries to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees. Process monthly billings from providers. Review billings for accuracy and approve for payment in a timely manner. Resolve discrepancies with carriers and payroll. Coordinate with a third-party administrator to manage disability claims according to the plan. Administer online COBRA enrollments/changes. Process and administer Workers' Compensation claims. Report and pay Workers' Compensation monthly. Provide support to the Sr. Manager of Total Rewards to complete benefit projects as needed. Assist in implementation, administration, and reporting of all HRIS systems. Set up all EDI feeds with carriers as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of experience in Benefit Administration. Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience. Ability to quickly grasp new technology systems. Exceptional organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential and proprietary information. Outstanding problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. Excellent proficiency in Excel and Office Suite.
