Job Summary: HCA Healthcare East Florida is seeking an experienced and dynamic physician leader to head our Gastroenterology Residency program at HCA Florida Westside Hospital as Program Director. Our division currently encompasses 44 residency and fellowship programs across 9 hospitals, aiming to provide high-quality training, foster research and scholarship, and retain graduates as future physicians and educators within HCA.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the program's operations, ensuring compliance with ACGME and ABMS standards.
Collaborate with hospital leadership and other stakeholders to maintain high educational standards.
Develop and evaluate curriculum, faculty, and residents.
Manage program administration, including budget, resident recruitment, and compliance reporting.
Engage in clinical practice, with 20-30% of time allocated to administrative duties and 70-80% to clinical activities.
Opportunity to join faculty at Nova Southeastern University and participate in medical education and research.
Minimum Requirements:
Board certification in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
Medical license in Florida.
At least 3 years of clinical experience in an academic setting.
Experience in medical education leadership and research involvement in the past 5 years.
Preferred: Previous experience as Program Director, Associate Program Director, or core faculty with leadership roles.
