At Sustainable Finance Solutions (SFS), we empower clients to assess the long-term sustainability and financial outlook of companies through data-driven insights into climate risks, regulatory shifts, and human capital trends. As investors seek more socially responsible investing or aim to understand sustainability-related risks and opportunities, our work is central to their decision-making. The SFS Engineering Team designs and builds the infrastructure for our sustainable finance products—handling large datasets, delivering high-performance APIs, and solving distributed systems challenges at scale. We work on ingesting climate scenario records and serving low-latency queries for reporting and research. We are a growth-oriented team that encourages innovation and focuses on high-quality software, developer experience, automation, and testability. Responsibilities include: Designing, building, and maintaining reliable code Owning products and technical decisions Contributing to team operations and improving collaboration Exploring new technologies to strengthen systems Addressing scaling and distributed system challenges using open-source and Bloomberg tools Minimum qualifications: 4+ years experience with an object-oriented programming language (C/C++, Python, Java, etc.) Strong communication skills and stakeholder collaboration Familiarity with observability tools like Grafana, Splunk, or Humio Experience with CI/CD tooling and automation Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience Preferred skills: Proficiency in Python Experience designing high-volume, scalable, maintainable, high-availability systems Background in architectural decisions and leading projects Familiarity with Kafka and data lake technologies at scale Commitment to clean, reliable, and maintainable code Experience in mentoring less experienced engineers is a plus. Salary Range:
$160,000 - $240,000 USD annually + benefits + bonus The salary range reflects the company's good faith at posting; actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, market conditions, education, and skills.
