Key Responsibilities:
- Automation & Source Transfer: Design, test, and support commissioning for advanced distribution automation and source transfer applications for utility and commercial/industrial clients.
- Proposal Development: Contribute to project proposals with detailed cost estimates and technical insights to support a successful bidding process.
- Field & Commissioning Support: Collaborate with Field Service teams during commissioning and provide post-deployment support to ensure optimal system performance.
- Standards & Protocols: Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and communication protocols for all protection and control initiatives.
- Training & Enablement: Develop and deliver technical training for both internal teams and external customers to enhance product and system understanding.
- Technology Watch: Stay up to date on the latest tools, products, and methodologies in the power systems space and apply them effectively to projects.
- Mentorship: Act as a technical mentor to junior engineers, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth through collaboration and regular engagement.
- Process Improvement: Enhance Standard Work Practices to streamline design and execution, simplify workflows, and improve efficiency across teams.
- Safety Leadership: Model and promote safe work practices, ensuring compliance with company and industry safety standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, engineering, product development, operations, and safety teams to align initiatives and support organizational goals.
- Communication & Reporting: Provide regular project updates to leadership and stakeholders using clear, effective communication methods.
- Bachelors in Engineering a must, Masters preferred
- Experience in programming SEL relays
- Experience in protection/automation
- Experience with SCADA
- 10 years of relevant work experience
