Job DescriptionMackin Talent is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to support our client in Redmond, WA in an onsite position. As a Prototype Electro-Mechanical Technician within our multidisciplinary HW Engineering Teams, you will take a critical role in developing next generation Anthropometric Development Vehicles to support ergonomic product evaluations across Meta. You will have expansive XFN collaborations within our PDE, ME and EE Engineering, Human Factors, Rapid Prototyping, and Research & Development teams. These projects cover a wide array of technical engineering challenges unique to our client's vast portfolio of AR, VR, and Wearable products. Our ideal candidate will work as part of our broader engineering team requiring collaboration and curiosity in domains other than just mechanical or electrical. The candidate should have strong mechanical & electrical fundamentals used in laboratory environments, prototyping skillsets, CAD fluency, materials knowledge, and experience building complex electro-mechanical assemblies at a system level. The successful candidate will be creative, self-motivated, detail oriented and a team player.RequirementsResponsibilities:Execute on rapid-prototyping efforts that will deliver multiple iterations of concepts in a short period of time.Drive end-to-end discussions on PCBA assembly design, prototyping, equipment & tooling needs for high precision ergonomic evaluation, and compliance requirements.Apply basic engineering know how in the areas of thermodynamics, precision mechanism design & motion control.Ability to execute multiple streams of work simultaneously and independently balance and prioritize project workload to ensure success against timeline constraints.Collaborate with HW Eng., Electrical Eng., and R&D teams to identify and solve complex early-stage challenges related to ergonomics, employing mechanical and electro-mechanical design and fabrication skills.Build platforms and tools that can be leveraged across the hardware organization that build upon your expertise in ergonomic and anthropometric considerations for product realization.Own or contribute to the investigation and technology maturation of various ergonomic design approaches within AR/VR products.Effectively employ 3D computer aided design (CAD), 2D sketching, and advanced prototyping techniques to clearly communicate complex design ideas.Experience managing lab environments for Production fabrication and R&D purposes.Familiarity with proper Health & Safety protocols relating to machine safety, chemicals, and cleanliness.Preferred Qualifications:BS in Engineering domain or equivalent experience. At least 4+ years of direct mechanical/electrical technical level experience.5+ years of systems-level fabrication experience with complex integrated electro-mechanical assemblies in laboratory environments.Understanding of Data Acquisition equipment or equivalent analog electrical systems.Experience with manufacturing techniques such as 3D Printing, CNC machining, and Laser cutting for materials such as silicones, plastics, metals, etc.Ability to leverage and manage external team resources to maximize throughput and efficiency for complex component fabrication.Skilled builder and familiar with typical shop/lab tools to help design and assemble custom test fixturesAble to understand electrical and mechanical drawings, such as Schematic and LayoutAssist engineering team in performing electro-mechanical assembly, tear-down, and rework to restore functionalityPerform high-density PCB and FPC rework, test and debug utilizing advanced bench tools.
