Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Pipeline Developer with a specialization in large format media and 2D workflows to join our creative technology team. The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy creative problem solver who thrives in high-stakes production environments and has deep expertise in overseeing the technical execution of large-scale visuals across IMAX, LED volumes, high-resolution 2D content, and complex post-production pipelines.
This is a 6-month temporary position with the potential to become full-time.
This role will be employed directly by a 3rd party Employer of Record.
Responsibilities:
Workflow Architecture:
Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end production workflows for 2D content in large format environments. Pipeline Integration:
Collaborate with Production, technical teams, and engineers to ensure seamless data flow between onset capture, editorial, DI, and delivery stages. Tool & System Management:
Evaluate, implement, and manage software tools and hardware systems that support 2D and 3D production pipelines, including color pipelines, conform processes, and dailies generation through integrated pipeline workflows. Experience with Shotgrid is essential Technical Supervision:
Provide post-production technical guidance to production and editorial teams on best practices for large-format and 2D deliverables. File & Format Oversight:
Manage technical specs and delivery standards to ensure compatibility with downstream display systems (CX Engine, Cosm Encoder). Collaboration & Support:
Act as the liaison between creative and technical teams, ensuring the visual intent is preserved through every stage of the process. Innovation & R&D:
Stay ahead of trends in high-resolution imaging, camera systems, LED capture, and media codecs. Recommend scalable innovations to improve quality, speed, and cost-efficiency. Experience:
7+ years of experience in a technical role in film, television, or high-end content production. Experience Nuke, Maya, Houdini, Unreal Engine, Redshift Experience with Shotgrid Toolkit Experience distributed render farms (Deadline knowledge a plus) Demonstrated experience with large-format media production (LED Domes, large scale image sequences). Understanding of 2D workflows in both acquisition and post, including editorial systems (Avid, Premiere), color grading (DaVinci Resolve), and VFX pipelines. Proficient with camera workflows, file formats (EXR, DPX, ProRes, DNxHR), and color management a plus Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools and asset management systems is a plus. Experience with Python, Pyside, Bash to support automation Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of LED volume workflows, virtual production, or Unreal Engine is a strong plus. Experience managing multi-vendor post-production environments. Passion for emerging technologies and a proactive attitude toward technical challenges.
