Receptionist Position
The receptionist is the primary contact person with the public, answering the telephones and greeting those who enter our building. Courtesy, reliability, and congeniality are the most important aspects that this person needs to display. The position also provides some administrative support to the social service department and corps programs. Essential Responsibilities: Greet visitors who come into the building and direct them to the appropriate person, voicemail box or take messages as needed Answer all incoming phone calls and direct the calls to the correct person, voicemail box or take messages as needed Maintain the general office area by keeping it organized Handle both in-kind donations and cash donations by providing receipts to donor and depositing of all cash donations into the safe Process all incoming and outgoing mail Communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers, supervisors, volunteers and visitors Make copies as needed Perform other duties as assigned Additional Responsibilities: Handle preliminary screening for social service clients Assist Corps Officers, Business Manager or Administrative Assistant as needed Handle all correspondence pertaining to memorial gifts Qualifications: Education/Experience: High School Diploma / GED or equivalent combination of education and experience One year of receptionist experience preferred Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Maintain strict confidentiality Computer Skills: Working knowledge in Microsoft Office 365 Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint Certificates and Licenses: Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
