Compensation:
$150,000 – $170,000 base salary (DOE) + 15% origination on client billings

A well-regarded St. Louis-based law firm is seeking a
Corporate Transactional Attorney
to join its business law team. The ideal candidate will bring a
strong foundation in corporate and commercial transactional work
and possess a
partial book of business . The position offers flexibility in title— Associate, Senior Counsel, or Partner —depending on the candidate's level of experience and client base. This is a great opportunity for a lawyer who values

within a stable, strategically minded firm. Key Responsibilities:
Advise clients on a wide range of business matters, including
entity formation, contract drafting and negotiation, risk mitigation, and general counsel services
Handle a variety of corporate and commercial transactions for small to mid-sized businesses
Maintain and develop client relationships, including growing a personal book of business
Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to deliver holistic legal solutions
Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and firm development initiatives
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice in Missouri, or eligible for admission via reciprocity
10+ years of corporate/commercial legal experience , ideally in a law firm environment
Demonstrated ability to
manage matters independently
and serve as lead counsel on transactions
Portable book of business (target: $250K+ preferred)
Excellent drafting, analytical, and client service skills
Experience in real estate, employment, or regulatory compliance considered an asset
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary:
$150,000–$170,000, depending on experience and book of business
Origination bonus:
15% of revenue from client work originated by the attorney
Hybrid work schedule (4 days in-office, 1 day remote)
