This position requires strong neuro experience and the ability to handle a diverse range of neurological conditions.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage patients with acute neurologic conditionsProvide care for patients requiring external ventricular drains (EVD), cranial procedures, and burr holesDemonstrate proficiency in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmiasWork collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient careFloat as needed to other ICU or boarder areas to meet facility needsAdhere to protocols for stroke education and participate in required training sessionsQualificationsExperience: 2+ years of strong Neuro ICU experience requiredCertifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certification requiredSkills: Experience with arterial line management, ventilator management, and care of ventilated patientsFloating Required: Yes, to other ICUs or boarders as neededPatient Ratios: 1:2 (Days & Nights)Charting System: Proficiency in Epic requiredHoliday RTO RestrictionsTravelers can request 1 of 3 major holidays and 3 additional non-holiday days (not blocked) outside of the following dates:11/22-12/112/22-12/2712/28-1/5 Highly prefers traveler to work Christmas.
