Position Summary:As a CMS Machinist / CNC Programmer you will be responsible for taking jobs from 3D math model or blueprints and produce finished parts.Responsibilities:Programing, setup tooling, basic inspection and finishing of the partsPlan machining process by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and material specificationsProgram mills and lathes utilizing manual G-Code Programming and CAM systems Maintains part specifications by adhering to quality assurance procedures and processesMaintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements specified by the manufacturer's instructions.Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership and exploring opportunities to add value to the team.Required Skills/Experience:Minimum of 7 years machining experience necessary or equivalentTooling speeds and feeds selection Manual Mill and Lathe Experience. Basic knowledge to safely operate standard machine shop equipment (saws, drill press, arbor press, surface grinder, Blanchard grinder, drill sharpener.)Understanding of GD&TInterpersonal skills required to work with others from various disciplines and cultures.Strong organizational skills to communicate technical data to colleagues and leadership Strong level of analytical thinkingThe successful candidate will have to successfully pass a driver's abstract and background check including drug screenExperience using machine shop measuring micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators etc.Ability to setup and weld fabrication assemblies from drawings.Preferred Skills/Experience:Experience with both horizontal and vertical CNC machinesFamiliar with UG and NX CNC lathe programming and operation experienceHaas and Mazatrol controller experience3D surfacing skillsCAM software experience preferably FeatureCam / MasterCam4 axis CNC Programming and operationMIG and TIG weldingSheetmetal fabrication experience. (Shears, rollers, dies, finger brake, accupress, etc.)Proficient utilizing excel, word and PowerPoint office tools.2-year AAS college degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.Manager's notes: Minimum of 7 years CNC mill and lathe machining experience utilizing manual G-Code Programming and CAM systemsCNC Mill and Lathe operation - they must be able to program and operate it **most important**
