Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/22/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Travel Nurse RN – Emergency Room (ER) Location: Largo, MD Facility: University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center (UMMS) Pay Package: $2,713/week (36 hrs) ⏰ Shift: 3x12s Nights (7:30p–8:00a) | 13 Weeks | Every Other Weekend Required Start Date: 09/22/2025 Job Details Unit: Emergency Room – 46 beds | Avg. 140 visits/day Ratios: 1:4 (days & nights) Trauma Level: II (Trauma I preferred) EMR: Epic Patient Population: Neonates through geriatrics Common Diagnoses: Chest pain, stroke, sepsis, trauma, cardiac arrest, respiratory illness Special Equipment: Belmont infuser, Lucas device, giraffe warmer, rapid infuser ✅ Requirements License: Active MD or Compact RN license Experience: 3 years ER (4–5 preferred) Travel RN experience Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIHSS, TNCC (AHA required) Preferred Skills: Trauma, Pediatrics, Vent management, Psych emergencies, Triage Pay Breakdown Weekly Gross: $2,713 Taxable W2: $648/week ($18/hr) Non-Taxable Stipends: $2,065/week ($57.36/hr) OT Rate (W2): $27/hr Hours: 36 hrs/week Contract & Scheduling Length: 13 weeks Start Date: 09/22/2025 Weekends: Every other weekend required Holidays: Required if scheduled Block Scheduling: Not available Floating: Within hospital/unit as needed Compliance & Notes Must submit RTO upfront (max 7 days; >4 consecutive adds 1 week) Locals within 50 miles not accepted Modules & orientation: 36 hours Return policy: Must be away 6 months (travelers) or 12 months (former staff) Additional Information Auto Offer: This unit is auto-offer – no interview. Candidate must be ready to accept once offered. RTO Policy: All time off must be included at submission. Cannot be changed or added later. Max 7 days; >4 consecutive requires an extra week added to the contract. Floating: Travelers are first to float within hospital as needed. Must be comfortable with no restrictions. Compliance: Documents due 5 days before start. Travelers must complete labs within 72 hours of signing contract. Return Policy: Must be away 6 months (travelers) or 12 months (former staff) before returning. Locals Rule: Must live 50 miles from the facility. Vaccines: Flu vaccine required (no exemptions). COVID vaccine not required. Scheduling: No block scheduling; every other weekend required; holidays required as scheduled.
