Structural Engineer

Insight Global is seeking the immediate hire of an experienced and licensed Structural Engineer (with a

n

Florida P.E. license, is highly desired). The candidate must possess the technical ability to independently work

n

through a project from schematic design through the construction phase with minimal guidance. Our attention

n

to detail and the quality of service we provide for clients separates us from other firms.

n

Candidates will be required to prepare engineering calculations and oversight of construction documents.

n

Coordinate structural design with architects, other engineering disciplines, building officials, and contractors.

n

Perform construction administration functions including the review of shop drawings and interpretation of

n

construction documents.

n

Salary Range: $140,000.00 -$170,000.00

n

Skills and Requirements

n

n
• n

  Florida Licensed Professional Engineer licensed prior to 1991 or,

  n
n
• n

  Certified by the State of Florida as a Structural Plans Examiner (SE)

  n
n
• n

  Five (5) + years of structural design experience

  n
n
• n

  Five (5) + years of experience in High Velocity Hurricane Zone - Coordinates plans examining with other departments for compliance with standards and regulations.

  n
n
• n

  Considerable knowledge of the Florida Building Code and all other applicable codes, standards, and

  n
n

n

regulations. Knowledge of general construction methods and procedures.

n

• Ability to plan, assign and supervise the work of others in a manner conducive to full performance and
n

n

high morale

• Ability to examine plans rapidly and thoroughly against codes under workload deadline conditions. null
