Cardiac Sonographer / Echocardiograph Technologist Location: Portland, ORSalary: $100,000 - $150,000 + Signing Bonus + Paid RelocationBenefits: Full Benefits PackagePosition Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Sonographer / Echocardiograph Technologist to join our team in Portland, Oregon. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing a variety of cardiac ultrasound examinations and possess a deep understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology. This role is crucial for accurately diagnosing the presence or absence of heart disease and will involve working with complex ultrasound equipment.Key Responsibilities:Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations as ordered by physicians.Utilize a range of complex ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.Analyze and objectively identify heart disease or abnormalities based on a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology.Assist physicians with advanced and invasive echocardiography procedures, including:Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)Trans-catheter echo-guided proceduresPericardiocentesisEcho-guided myocardial biopsiesContrast-enhanced examsExercise and pharmacological stress echocardiographyAdapt procedures and techniques to meet unique circumstances and ensure clinically useful, cost-effective information is provided.Qualifications:Required:Oregon Sonographer license.National Registered Cardiac Sonographer credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).National Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.Preferred:Associate's degree in Applied Science from a CAAHPE-accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.One year of experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations, or a minimum of 800 completed exams using all available imaging modalities.Experience with pediatric echocardiography.Familiarity with imaging support for advanced heart failure patients and mechanical support devices.Benefits:Our hospital offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support our employees' health, financial well-being, and work-life balance.
