A leading real estate investment and operations firm is looking for a Data Strategy & Engineering Lead to spearhead their company-wide data transformation. This is a full-time, permanent position with an expectation of being onsite 4 days/week in their Boston office.
This organization is undergoing a major shift in how it uses data across every part of the business—from leasing and operations to finance and development. They are seeking a hands-on leader who can architect modern data infrastructure, drive adoption of AI-powered tools, and partner with cross-functional teams to turn raw data into strategic insights.Required Skills & Experience
6+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
Deep experience with Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL), or equivalent cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
Proven ability to design and scale data infrastructure and pipelines
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
Excellent communicator who can translate technical work into business value
Familiarity with generative AI, LLMs, and APIs (e.g., OpenAI) is a strong plus

Evaluate and redesign the company’s data architecture to be scalable and future-ready Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines for both structured and unstructured data Create dashboards and reporting tools to enable real-time decision-making Partner with business teams to understand their data needs and deliver effective solutions Lead AI initiatives from ideation to deployment, particularly around generative AI and predictive analytics Champion data governance, quality, and best practices across the organization You will receive the following benefits:
