About the Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic junior counsel to be a founding member of the Veza Legal team. You will work closely with Sales, Partnerships, and other cross-functional business teams to draft and negotiate contracts. In addition to managing multiple deals and communicating with customers and vendors, you will help build processes and programs to increase efficiency and deal velocity, supporting the team as the company scales. Depending on your interest and the company's needs, you may also work on product development projects and other initiatives outside of Commercial Legal. This position reports to the Director of Legal.

What You Will Do:

Serve as a legal point of contact for go-to-market and procurement deals, providing practical and strategic advice to relevant teams.

Participate in negotiating partnership, reseller, customer, and vendor agreements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable processes to enhance deal velocity.

Draft and maintain agreement templates.

Contribute to other special projects as needed.

About You:

2-4 years of legal experience, preferably as in-house counsel; experience at a cloud-based software technology company is a bonus.

Strong understanding of cloud services, SaaS business practices, and relevant regulatory requirements, with a willingness to learn about the company's evolving product offerings.

Ability to independently manage and negotiate agreements with a variety of customers and vendors.

Excellent judgment, risk assessment, and mitigation skills, with the ability to make quick recommendations and decisions.

Creative problem solver with excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating legal language into business solutions.

Skilled at managing fast-paced workstreams and multiple stakeholders, with the ability to prioritize effectively.

Interested in exploring and integrating AI into workflows and processes.

A cooperative team player willing to take on additional responsibilities and wear multiple hats.

Positive attitude and good sense of humor to handle workload challenges with team support.

At Veza, your base pay is part of your total compensation. The expected pay range for this role can be discussed with your recruiter and will depend on your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. The position is also eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package.
