Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Salary: $2566 / Week The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs tests for patient diagnosis, progress or deterioration and medical research. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and gives radiopharmaceuticals to patients when indicated and uses high-level imaging equipment to record images of the radioactive material in the patient's body. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works in collaboration with physicians to provide the images for interpretation to study and diagnose a medical condition. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist gives doses of radiation to patients internally to treat various medical conditions when prescribed by a physician. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist participates in a variety of technical tasks, tests and determinations involving the utilization of radioactive materials and measurement instrumentation. Minimum Requirements: Level I & II Graduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program and/or meets all state required educational & licensing/certification standards. Level II Position Requirements: Possesses at least two years of experience in the Nuclear Medicine field One two years prior supervisory or Team Lead experience. Current CPR if applicable TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Day 3x8-Hour (07:30 - 16:00) 07/21/2025 Start Date 13 Week Assignment Required: NMT - at least 2 years experience Call requirements: from end of shift to midnight on M, T, W. The tech does not need to come in to perform the exam but will be called to inform he/she there is an inpatient order for tomorrow. The tech will then order the doses and connect with the RN supervisor for the exam time. Call every other weekend. Call is from 0600-midnight. The tech would be called as in statement (1) above. The tech would come in on Sat and/or Sunday to complete the inpatient exam(s). We average about 1 exam on Sat and 1 exam on Sun.
