We're looking for a Buyer to join our team (on-site) and keep our manufacturing operation running like clockwork. In this role, you'll source and purchase goods, raw materials, and services that fuel our success while balancing price, quality, and on-time delivery. You'll work both independently and alongside a supportive team to ensure our production floor has exactly what it needs, when it needs it. 1st shift - 7:30 AM - We are currently on our 9/80 schedule, which is a two-workweek schedule of eight 9-hour days, one 8-hour day, and one day off - our employees love it! Salary:

The Buyer will work individually as well as part of a team supporting our in-house manufacturing operation to meet and exceed deadlines.

Buyer Essential Functions: Purchase goods, materials, components, and/or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets as well as tracking existing purchase orders, and schedule delivery for required material and supplies Manage purchase order scheduling in ERP system to support production needs and organization Research alternate sources of supply to provide supply chain stability and identify low-cost options Negotiate contracts, materials, equipment, services, and supplies from suppliers, and obtain the best possible pricing and payment terms Develop and manage relationships with suppliers and ensure they meet delivery and quality objectives Proactively drive the supply chain to meet and exceed our production floor's needs and eliminate any interruptions Manage multiple duties to complete daily, weekly, and monthly purchasing goals Expedite and coordinate deliveries of materials and supplies required to meet manufacturing schedules Collaborate effectively with engineering, sales, and manufacturing to translate business needs into clear sourcing requirements Ensure a smooth flow of materials through the production process and consistent information regarding status and priorities; advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production updates Work with suppliers and the accounting department to resolve invoicing issues Support and participate in cross-functional projects with department colleagues and other departments

Buyer Qualifications: Strong knowledge and understanding of all functions of the manufacturing supply chain and purchasing Experience using an ERP system as well as Microsoft Office programs Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills Analytical thinker with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, must be good with follow-up Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines Capable of working independently and taking initiative as needed to accomplish goals Team player with a "can do" attitude, flexible, and versatile Ability to read technical drawings, specs and BoM's Strong time management skills and multi-tasking skills

Buyer Education and Experience: High School Diploma (minimum) 3+ years of buyer/purchasing experience specifically within manufacturing

Buyer Special Requirements: Primarily office-based with regular visits to the production floor and inventory areas (PPE provided) Must be able to sit at a desk, use a computer, and communicate via phone and/or email for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
