Under general supervision of the IT Supervisor, the System Administrator (Sys/Admin) will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of managing, maintaining, and enhancing the capabilities of the organization's network and communications infrastructure. The Sys/Admin will also focus on Cyber-Security and remediation. The System Administrator will have a good understanding of system administration principles and knowledge of Cyber-Security practices and technologies. Performs identity management and authorization of access privileges. The System Administrator is a member of helpdesk support team, as well as operating independently to resolve complex end-user problems. Education And Training Requirements

Four-Year College Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency - general major. Requires basic knowledge or training in a specialized or technical field or trade, such as social work, professional accounting, finance, business administration, and marketing. Experience

Over four years, up to and including six years. Other (Specify): Demonstrated experience with Office 365 Administration, network designs, network equipment such firewalls, switches, routers, gateways, VPN. Special Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

Knowledge of Cyber security and protection principles. Good understanding of network vulnerabilities, penetration testing and remediation work. Thorough understanding of current Windows operating system and network protocols. Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Other Position Requirements

This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island. The nature of this position requires the incumbent to be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of convictions. Requires contacts both inside and outside the organization in order to furnish or obtain information and/or provide participant services. Normal courtesy, tact and discretion required.
