Base pay range
$65.00/hr - $75.00/hr *Hybrid role in Smithfield RI* Our client is seeking a skilled Java Back End Developer to join a growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' needs. Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable microservices from scratch using Java 17+ and Spring Boot. Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. Deploy and manage applications on AWS EKS, ensuring high availability and performance. Work with Oracle databases, utilizing PL/SQL for batch processing and data management. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. Continuously improve and optimize existing systems for performance and scalability. Experience Requirements: Proven experience with Java 17+ in developing microservices from scratch. Strong proficiency in Spring Boot for building robust and scalable applications. Hands-on experience with AWS EKS for deploying and managing applications. Expertise in Oracle databases, with a focus on PL/SQL and batch processing. Nice to Have: Experience with Python for scripting and automation tasks. Familiarity with Shell Scripting/UNIX and command-line tools.
