We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our Anesthesiology Service. This full-time position offers the chance to provide top-tier anesthetic care for complex cardiac cases, engage in cutting-edge research, and contribute to academic excellence through our affiliation with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), David Geffen School of Medicine. The successful candidate will have completed a cardiac anesthesiology fellowship and possess expertise in TAVR and structural heart disease. Provide a comprehensive range of anesthesiology services, particularly for cardiac cases, including valve surgeries, CABG, and TAVR.


Key Responsibilities
:

  • Develop Comprehensive Anesthetic Plans: Create tailored anesthetic plans for complex cardiac cases, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Pre- and Post-Anesthesia Care: Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic evaluations, manage anesthesia during procedures, and provide diligent post-anesthesia care.
  • Supervise and Mentor: Guide and supervise residents and CRNAs, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
  • Monitor and Respond: Closely monitor patients throughout the anesthesia process.
  • Participate in Cardiac Call Schedule: Be an active participant in the cardiac call schedule, ensuring availability for urgent and emergency cases.
  • Collaboration and Team Meetings: Engage in preoperative evaluations and cardiac team meetings, contributing your expertise to multidisciplinary discussions.
  • Maintain Professional Standards: Stay current with continuing education, maintain certification and licensure, and adhere to all safety protocols, especially regarding infection control and patient confidentiality.
  • Research and Education: Contribute to clinical and/or laboratory research and deliver lectures or one-on-one instruction as a faculty member of David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
  • Precision in Procedures: Execute precise techniques such as insertion of intravenous lines, arterial lines, central lines, regional anesthesia, and transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE).

Work Schedule: Variable, 4 days per week, 7:00am-5:30pm (some flexibility considered)


Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • MD or equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine
  • Current unrestricted license
  • Must have completed residency in an accredited core specialty
  • Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship
  • BC/BE

Benefits :

  • Salary Range: $353,000-$400,000
