Job Title
Responsibilities I. Job Summary/Responsibilities: Performs a variety of mammography procedures related to the breast. Provides patient care during procedures. II. Typical Physical Demands: Required: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking. Frequent: standing, walking, stooping/bending, reaching above, at and below shoulders; repetitive arm/hand motion, and twisting body. Occasional: sitting, lifting, pushing/pulling usual weight of 50 pounds; and carrying items up to 10 pounds, and static gripping of objects (paddles, etc). III. Typical Working Conditions: Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. Subjected to noise/vibration from radiographic equipment noise. Exposure to body fluids, communicable diseases, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, radiation odors and skin irritants. Work environments are fast paced, frequently stressful; works on multiple tasks and priorities at the same time and requires critical decision making. IV. Minimum Qualifications: A. Education/Certification and Licensure: Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T) and Hawaii State licenses as a Radiologic Technologist. Current A.R.R.T. license in Mammography. If not licensed in Mammography, licensure must be obtained within one (1) year of entrance into the position. Current BLS/HCP certification. B. Experience: Two (2) years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist with successful completion of an A.R.R.T. approved Mammography training course; or current certification in Mammography by A.R.R.T. may be substituted for the experience requirement.
