General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) supplies advanced electromagnetic systems, power equipment, and high-tech products for government and commercial applications, such as linear motors, superconducting and rotating motors, power inverters, high-energy capacitors, radiation monitoring systems, and high-voltage power distribution systems. Duties and Responsibilities Lead a team of technicians in manufacturing electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Maintain detailed records of technicians’ activities and accomplishments. Collaborate with Planners, Project Managers, Engineers, and Quality Assurance to support workload. Assist in hiring technicians to support company growth. Read and understand process documentation, drawings, schematics, diagrams, wire lists, work instructions, and procedures. Identify discrepancies and escalate issues promptly. Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S methodology. Ensure a safe ESD environment and solder to IPC JSTD-001, wire to IPC/WHMA-A-620 class 3 standards. Use calibrated tools and operate equipment such as lift trucks, cranes, and rigging gear. Possess mechanical skills, pipe fitting, tube bending, and familiarity with fittings. Travel as needed to support customers and company sites. Follow all safety laws and regulations. We value diversity and welcome all qualified individuals to apply. Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent with 7+ years of experience, or equivalent experience. IPC JSTD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification is a plus. Willing to work with radioactive materials, overtime, and weekends. Experience training technicians and working with Microsoft, SAP, and Office tools.
