Technical Software Engineering Manager Machines Onsite

Cricut is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead the development of cross-platform libraries and tools for Cricut machines. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment to deliver exceptional products that enhance customer experience and support business growth. The ideal candidate will be hands-on throughout all development phases, from planning to release, and will foster a strong engineering team and culture. Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop libraries and tools for iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows that interface with Cricut machines via USB and Bluetooth (BLE and Classic). Lead the engineering team in designing new features, improving existing functionalities, and ensuring high quality. Define architecture, work breakdown, estimates, and schedules with engineering teams. Apply best practices in software design, perform code reviews, and write tests. Mentor team members and promote Agile/Scrum methodologies. Qualifications B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or Software Engineering. At least 4 years of experience in software engineering management. Over 5 years of experience in product development and deployment. Required Skills Proficiency in Swift, C++, or Dart. Experience with hardware interfaces and firmware is a plus. Knowledge of SDLC, Scrum/Agile, package managers, testing, algorithms, data structures, and Git. Effective communication skills and a passion for learning new technologies.
