Job SummaryThe Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality mammographic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis of breast diseases. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in medical imaging techniques. The Mammography Technologist will work closely with patients, providing compassionate care while ensuring their comfort and safety during the imaging process.DutiesPerforms mammography exams and procedures accurately.Applies critical thinking skills appropriately.Recognizes emergent situations and responds appropriately.Maintains accurate customer medical records. Ensures confidentiality of all medical records.Utilizes Imaging computer systems correctly.Maintains compliance and performs quality assurance testing for Mammogram equipment per regulatory requirements.Understands and follows principles and standards as outlined in the facility's Corporate Code of Conduct.Protects customer and team member privacy and only accesses customer and/or team member related information as needed to perform job duties.Education:High School graduate or equivalent required.Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic TechnologyExperience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Previous Mammography experience requiredPrevious Digital Mammography experience preferredKnowledge of MQSA/ACR requirementsMust be able to work independentlyLicensure/Certification(s) Mandatory:ARRT Registered Technologist- State RequirementCompleted 40 hours of mammography training per MQSA requirements- Federal RequirementARRT Registered Mammography Technologist completed within 1 year of hire date- BH StandardBLS Certification- BH StandardCertification RequirementsARRTBLSThis position offers an opportunity for skilled professionals to make a significant impact on patient health through advanced imaging technology.
