We are seeking an experienced

Data Warehouse Architect

to lead the design, development, and optimization of large-scale enterprise data platforms for a key client. This is a

multi-year consulting engagement

focused on building robust data warehouse and analytics solutions that drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

In this role, you will architect end-to-end data solutions, from modeling and integration to reporting and analytics, while ensuring best practices in governance, security, and scalability. You will collaborate with technical managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact data initiatives and create a modern, reliable, and efficient data ecosystem.

This position is ideal for a senior-level architect with deep expertise in data warehousing, cloud-based data solutions, and advanced analytics tools, who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Architect Enterprise Data Platforms:

Design and implement scalable, high-performing data warehouse and analytics solutions in both on-premises and cloud environments. End-to-End Data Engineering:

Oversee the entire data lifecycle, including modeling, integration, ETL/ELT processes, data cleansing, and transformation. Data Platform Development:

Build, optimize, and maintain complex data warehouse models and pipelines using SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure services. Analytics Enablement:

Support BI and reporting frameworks, integrating with tools such as Power BI, Cognos, and Tableau for enterprise reporting. Performance Optimization:

Write and tune complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to improve system efficiency and reliability. Governance & Security:

Implement data governance practices, manage data quality, and establish robust security protocols across platforms. Environment Management:

Maintain and upgrade production and non-production environments, ensuring uptime, stability, and compliance. Troubleshooting & Support:

Resolve escalated technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure data integrity across systems. Collaboration & Leadership:

Partner with engineering teams, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior engineers. Documentation & Training:

Produce clear technical documentation and deliver training for stakeholders to ensure long-term platform success.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 12+ years of experience

in architecting, designing, and developing data warehouse and database solutions in both on-premises and cloud environments. Proven track record in

end-to-end data warehouse development , including ETL/ELT, data modeling, integration, and optimization. Hands-on experience with

SQL Server technologies

(SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), advanced T-SQL, and complex query performance tuning. Strong expertise in

Azure Data Platform services

(Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Azure Pipelines, Azure IaaS/PaaS). Experience supporting BI frameworks like

Power BI, Cognos, or Tableau . Deep understanding of

data governance, data management, and data security practices . Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize production and non-production environments.

Technical Skills:

Skilled in designing scalable

data models and analytics systems

that meet enterprise standards. Knowledge of

data warehouse best practices , schema design (star/snowflake), and performance optimization. Strong scripting skills for automation and database management tasks. Cloud migration and hybrid environment experience is highly desirable. Certifications in Azure, SQL Server, or BI platforms .

Soft Skills:

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong leadership, mentorship, and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams. Analytical mindset with problem-solving expertise and attention to detail. Self-starter capable of working independently and driving initiatives to completion.
