contract supporting the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ). The role involves providing specialized expertise to support acquisition and sustainment efforts, innovation, and technical competence across the organization. The position supports the
Global Power Programs Directorate , responsible for development, procurement, and support of a $10B portfolio including legacy fighters (F-15, F-16, A-10), fifth-generation aircraft (F-22, F-35), munitions, and nuclear triad programs. We are staffing for an
Acquisition Program Analyst, SME
to support HQ-level actions related to advanced weapons systems such as JASSM/LRASM, HARM/HTS, SIAW/AARGM-ER, and others. The candidate must meet SME qualifications, with at least 5 years supporting advanced weapons technology, familiarity with AF requirements development, and experience transitioning technology from labs to programs. Tasks include supporting budget, analyzing data, providing program assessments, and supporting legislative and congressional activities. *This position is 100% onsite at the Pentagon, 5 days per week.* Key Tasks: Supporting budget preparation, oversight, and program execution. Analyzing planning, scheduling, and management data. Recommending strategies, analyzing requirements, and assessing programs. Providing impartial program assessments and trend analysis. Making funding and goal recommendations. Tracking compliance and researching program issues. Reviewing policies, evaluating impacts, and maintaining documentation. Supporting Congressional and DoD activities, including briefings and reports. Handling classified information and other related tasks. Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance 10+ years of acquisition experience in a System Program Office or HQ 5+ years supporting advanced weapons technology and requirements development Extensive knowledge of AF requirements process Experience in stakeholder collaboration on technical objectives Strong background in transitioning technology from labs to programs Education: Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering Highly Desired: Experience with SAF/AQP, SAF/AQL, SAF RCO, SAP/SAR Experience with AFMC, AFLCMC Security Clearance:
