Charge Master Analyst

Responsible for ensuring the Liberty Hospital charge description master complies with hospital coding procedures and payer regulations, including CPT/HCPCS coding requirements. Assists with revenue cycle improvements by resolving charge issues and identifying root causes. Manages charge tasks such as implementing charges for new departments, annual CPT updates, rate analysis, and daily patient account charge issues. Acts as the charge expert, maintaining proration tables, conducting charge audits, and identifying training opportunities. Collaborates with leadership on vendor relationships involving charges and CPT/HCPCS codes. Works to create consistency and efficiency in outpatient claims processing to optimize reimbursement, reduce denials, and ensure appropriate charging of services. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education/Training:
Associate's degree in business, accounting, health information management, or a related field upon hire or transfer (effective 5/18/2022). Required Experience:
Minimum three (3) years of recent experience in revenue cycle areas such as Business Office, Billing, Coding, or Reimbursement; Intermediate Excel skills. Preferred Education/Training:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, accounting, or a related field. Preferred Experience:
Experience with revenue cycle functions like Patient Accounting, Patient Registration, Medical Records, Denial and Appeal Management, Reimbursement methodologies, Decision Support, or Project Management. Preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration:
AAPC CPC, AHIMA CCS, RHIT, or LPN certification. Seniority level
