MUST BE LICENSED BY THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES
Responsibilities include:
Providing competent, safe, quality, and professional care to clients in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
Responding to clients' needs during emotional or physical distress.
Determining client eligibility and conducting assessments for admission.
Developing treatment plans with client input and facilitating services and resources.
Documenting assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries professionally and timely.
Conducting group and individual sessions to meet treatment goals.
Attending staff meetings and managing charting responsibilities.
Performing any other duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred.
Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor or eligible to be designated as a Counselor Trainee.
Experience in the field or recovery with at least two years of sobriety.
Reliable transportation and ability to work independently and with resistant behaviors.
Strong communication, ethical standards, and confidentiality adherence.
Knowledge of chemical dependency treatment and related disorders.
Willingness to adhere to facility policies and demonstrate professional growth.
