Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced
CNC Programmer and Machinist
to join our team. In this role, you will program and operate a
HAAS VF2
and
TL-1 , manage the machine shop’s organization and safety, operate an
OMAX waterjet , and train others on shop equipment. Additionally, you will machine small-run parts and custom fixtures essential for our testing laboratory.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in CNC programming and machining to contribute to a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
CNC Programming and Operation: Program, set up, and operate CNC machines, specifically the HAAS VF2 and TL-1. Waterjet Operation: Operate and maintain the OMAX waterjet to ensure optimal performance. Shop Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe machine shop environment. Team Training: Train team members on the proper use of CNC machines and shop equipment. Machining: Machine small-run parts and custom fixtures to support testing operations. Quality Control: Ensure all machined parts meet required specifications and quality standards. Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team to enhance and optimize machining processes. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of machining operations and equipment maintenance activities.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a CNC Programmer and Machinist, with expertise in operating HAAS VF2 and TL-1. Experience with programming and operating an OMAX waterjet. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. GED required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in CNC programming and machining.
