Our Client, an AV Manufacturing company, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer – Serviceability for their Foster City, CA location.

Responsibilities:

Partner with cross-functional teams to drive Serviceability (Design for Serviceability). Evaluate part and assembly design, from concept to design to manufacturing introduction for hand clearance, tooling clearance, ergonomics, and feasibility of replacement of all components. Develop service part release strategy and maintain the Service BOM for spare parts planning. Work closely with engineering teams to integrate components and electromechanical systems. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on the build of new product iterations. Support specialized tooling design, development, and validation that is used by the field team. Participate in requirements definition as it pertains to service, availability of the product, and reliability. Provide comprehensive cost/time modeling that showcases opportunities to drive product change that supports the reduction of cost or complexity of the repair. Work with the technical writing team to establish the repair process.

Requirements:

Demonstrated successful experience in mechanical engineering within a product design and manufacturing environment. Experience designing and developing products through the lifecycle. Ability to design for a wide range of fabrication and manufacturing processes. Experience with product and process validation. Tooling and/or equipment design experience. Detail-oriented, including proven documentation skills. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering 4-6 years of mechanical engineering experience Strong 3D CAD experience, CATIA a plus Ability to work autonomously to manage projects
