Day Shift – UW MEDICINE ITS SERVICES CORE HOURS ARE 08:00 – 17:00 (PST), Monday-Friday
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW Medicine IT Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center (VMC), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The primary focus of the ITS Organizational Change Management Lead (OCM Lead) will be leading the broader portfolio of projects needing change management expertise. This role will oversee all change management activities related to High and Medium ITS project rollout, ensuring successful adoption and sustained use of the requested project to meet organizational objectives. Designing, developing, and implementing effective change management strategies that drive adoption, minimizing resistance, and ensuring project outcomes align with UW Medicine’s goals
Facilitating user readiness, aligning leadership, and integrating strategic communication to support enterprise-wide technology and process changes
Acting as an OCM Practitioner on projects where applicable
Developing OCM strategies and templates to be utilized by the entire ITS organization
Providing training on OCM templates to entire ITS organization
REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in business or health administration, or related field or equivalent education and/or experience
8+ years of overall experience to include the below:
8+ years of experience in organizational change management, strategic communications, or organizational development roles
3+ years of experience delivering change management solutions within healthcare, preferably in academic medical centers or health IT environments
Demonstrated success partnering with Project Management teams and Project Managers to integrate change management into enterprise project delivery
Strong understanding of project methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall frameworks
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders in complex healthcare and IT environments
Proficiency in tools like MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Word, and Project); familiarity with change management tools or IT collaboration platforms is a plus.
