Three years of experience in communicable disease intervention and prevention activities or as a licensed registered nurse; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR

A bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. . Job Duties:

· Manage and direct regional activities of the CDC Vaccines for Children (VFC) program, including quality assurance visits, physician recruitment, vaccine storage inspections, and immunization assessments. · Train VFC personnel on vaccine ordering, administration, cold-chain management, adverse event reporting, and program coordination to maximize effectiveness. · Serve as Regional Consultant for the Louisiana Immunization Network for Kids Statewide (LINKS), enrolling providers, conducting trainings, providing technical support, and managing vaccine inventory systems. · Conduct regulatory enforcement and immunization coverage assessments in schools, daycares, and early childhood programs; analyze data and train school personnel on immunization data entry. · Participate in surveillance, investigation, and outbreak response for vaccine-preventable diseases (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella), coordinating with medical and epidemiology teams and community stakeholders. · Support emergency preparedness and response efforts by assisting with mass vaccination clinics and vaccine distribution during public health emergencies, natural disasters, or bioterrorism events.
