Material Receiving Specialist
We are seeking a diligent Material Receiving Specialist to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt and inspection of raw materials, maintaining inventory records, and collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities
Receive shipments and sign for raw material deliveries. Check deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips to ensure accuracy. Inspect materials to ensure quality conformance. Receive materials in SAP and upload documents to Basecamp. Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries. Unload packages from incoming trucks and inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged. Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.). Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified. Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements. Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place. Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries. Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control. Cycle count inventory in accordance with the cycle count monthly schedule. Collaborate with the Inventory Specialist on any inventory discrepancies. Coordinate with Purchasing on immediate inventory needs. Notify Production Planning of any inventory shortages that may affect scheduling. Notify the Inventory Specialist of any under or over usages of materials. Essential Skills
Proficiency in SAP and Basecamp for material receiving and document management. Strong attention to detail for verifying deliveries and inspecting materials. Experience in inventory control, including cycle counts and inventory management. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with procurement, suppliers, and other departments. Ability to handle material handling equipment and perform physical tasks related to receiving. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge in Microsoft Office, especially Word, for data entry and documentation. Experience with logistics, supply chain, and freight management. Familiarity with FedEx shipping and other shipping and receiving processes. Forklift operation experience is a plus. Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred. The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
