A fast-growing Series A startup in the developer tooling space is hiring an
Infrastructure Software Engineer
to own and optimize its internal development ecosystem. This role is ideal for engineers passionate about improving build systems, developer workflows, and CI/CD pipelines to maximize team velocity and code quality.
You'll be responsible for reducing friction throughout the engineering lifecycle across a diverse technical stack that includes multiple monorepos, language-specific SDK generators, and a developer-facing web platform. If you love simplifying complex systems, championing developer productivity, and working hands-on in a high-ownership environment, this is for you. Key Responsibilities Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines and development workflows across a polyglot microservices architecture Drive improvements in build tooling, test orchestration, and deployment efficiency Collaborate closely with backend, frontend, and SDK teams to streamline local dev environments Champion performance optimization, caching strategies, and observability for the developer experience Create tooling and documentation that elevates the productivity of every engineer on the team Ideal Experience 2-10 years of experience in infrastructure software engineering or backend development with strong DevOps exposure Hands-on ownership of CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions) and build tooling (e.g., pnpm, turbo, ESLint, Babel, Jest) Strong background in TypeScript and familiarity with Next.js and Node.js environments Experience with caching strategies, deployment automation, and test execution flows Prior work at high-velocity startups or developer-centric B2B SaaS/API companies Bachelor's degree in CS or related field from a top-tier university preferred Soft Skills Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Passion for building for developers and improving engineering systems High attention to detail and bias toward automation and clarity Motivated by solving pain points that impact the entire engineering org Bonus Points Experience as a Developer Experience (DevEx) or Platform Engineer Background in open-source contributions related to developer tooling Ex-founders or engineers who've worked across multiple infrastructure layers
