As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Acquiring Platforms & Rails Tandem team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way on HPE NonStop. Job responsibilities
Developing on Tandem in a hands-on technical leadership capacity
Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on TANDEM/NonStop engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
Passionate about building an innovative culture
Assist in planning, architecture, analysis and design of enterprise technology solutions that satisfy business requirements for large complex systems.
Hands‑on TANDEM/NonStop Systems development using Tools and Languages including TAL, TACL, Tandem COBOL, TANDEM C++, ENSCRIBE, ENFORM, TANDEM pathway, Tandem internal messaging system, FUP, BATCHCOM, SQLCI, Host security module, tokenization and encryption
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Understanding of payment processing industry (ISO8583 message Format and Industry Specifications)
Experience on C++, Java, DevOps, BigData, Kafka Stream, Control‑M, Golden Gate, Agile based development
