Project Controls Manager . Your work environment at EXP We are seeking a

Project Controls Manager

responsible for leading a team, engaging with stakeholders on various projects including Program Management, Design Build, EPC, or EPCM within Transportation, Infrastructure, and vertical Construction sectors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

Oversee project planning, budgeting, change management, cost control, estimating, reporting, and forecasting.

Monitor financial performance and communicate significant issues affecting overall company financials.

Ensure adherence to Change Management processes, developing mitigation plans as needed.

Align project forecasts with project managers, maintaining Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS).

Generate and present weekly and monthly project reports to management.

Represent projects in Monthly Project Status Reviews, and prepare client invoices.

Conduct cost reviews, participate in audits, and analyze progress reports.

Control project expenditures, verify invoices and claims, and ensure proper coding in the accounting system.

Evaluate contracts to ensure controls are aligned with project needs and ensure contractual compliance.

Coordinate interdisciplinary activities across engineering, construction, and procurement.

Sponsor the development and mentoring of project controls and scheduling specialists.

Hold teams accountable for progress, influencing without direct authority, and communicating issues proactively.

Develop and monitor risk registers, utilizing tools like Monte Carlo simulations and interactive planning.

Identify and mitigate schedule, scope, and cost risks.

Create project controls, scheduling, planning, and change management procedures.

Assist in proposal development and bid planning.

Develop schedules for project phases, monitor deviations, and analyze variances.

Lead project performance measurement using Earned Value Management (EVM).

Conduct training sessions for stakeholders and team members as needed.

What your experience looks like

Proficiency in Prism, Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.

Minimum 3+ years of experience in Construction, Oil & Gas, Chemical, or Petrochemical sectors.

Strong knowledge of WBS, CBS, and advanced Excel skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Willingness to travel to project sites occasionally.

Technical diploma or degree in construction, business management, or related field.

PMP certification or similar is desirable.

At least 5 years of relevant project experience in industry.
