Global Network Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the S8.2 C2BMC network across operational sites. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in network engineering and a proven ability to work independently in dynamic, mission-critical environments. This position requires regular travel to remote locations to perform network installations in alignment with Program configuration management processes. You will also take ownership of troubleshooting complex issues, ensuring timely resolution, and providing clear, concise status updates to Program personnel. Experience Required: Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools. Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers as well as independently at times on large field projects. Candidate must have proven troubleshooting skills. Candidates with experience planning and supporting the deployment of network infrastructure are highly desired. Prior C2BMC network experience is also a plus. Technical Skills Required: Require a Network Development Engineer. The candidate must be a proven network engineer with hands-on experience and knowledge of network architecture design, development and testing methodologies. Specific technical skills required include: Strong and proven Network Development experience with developing, testing and deploying new and upgraded capabilities. Experience with Network Automation to include both development and deployment of Network and Management systems. Proven experience with Ansible or other automation tools. Script experience a plus. Network Management and Monitoring Systems (MicroFocus Operations Bridge Manager Suite with Business Value Dashboards, NMMI with Net Performance Server and Traffic iSPI's, Network Automation, Ops Analytics Orchestration, SiteScope, HP System Insight Manager, JUNOS Space, Viavi GigaStor and Apex). Experience Loading and modifying MIBS and SEED files, writing scripts for network automation and developing fixlets to be used with IBM BigFix to efficiently deploy updates to the fielded environment. Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytic tools. Experience using protocol analyzers/sniffers (such as tcpdump, Wireshark, OPNET ACElive & ITGuru). Authentication & encryption methods/capabilities (TACACS+, Active Directory, GPO's and GEM One Encryptor Manager). Understanding of standard DOD security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts. Proven network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting experience. Preferred: A solid understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF Experience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs Hands on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper) Industry vendor certifications from Juniper (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE) required and Cisco (CCNA, CCNP) a plus Education: Bachelor of Science in the Computer Science field or significant equivalent experience 5 years minimum, i.e. EE, CIS, CPE, MIS, IT). Location: Full Time/ On-Site in Colorado Springs, CO Clearance Requirement: Top Secret DOD 8570 Requirement: Must possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA). Salary Range: $100,000 TO $122,000 Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
